From Rashmi Gautam to Anasuya Bharadwaj, here’s a quick look at the Telugu TV stars who survived major road accidents.

The ace comedian of Jabardasth fame reportedly met with an accident this morning (June 18) on the National Highway-64 at Komarabanda village, Kodad district, Telangana. Chanti was driving back to Hyderabad when his car rammed into a truck near Komarabanda. Luckily, Chanti escaped with minor injuries in the accident.

Chalaki Chanti of Jabardasth fame had a close shave in a major car crash in June, 2018 as well. The car in which the actor was travelling was hit by another car on National Highway-44 at Balanagar, Mahbubnagar district. However, Chanti survived unhurt while his car was severely damaged in the crash.

Chanti is currently seen at his entertaining best with his performances in Jabardasth and other events.

Bigg Boss Telugu season one host Jr NTR aka Tarak, survived a fatal accident in 2009 when the car turned turtle on National Highway-9, negotiating a curve at Mote village, Suryapet, in the wee hours of the fateful Friday. He sustained minor injuries on the head, hands, ribs and minor fracture in the spine. A case was registered against him for rash and negligent driving too. However, the popular actor-TV host bounced back and presently doing pretty well in professional and personal fronts.

Rajeev Kanakala, who started his career with TV and shot to fame with serials like Ruthuragalu, Shanti Nivasam, Kasthuri et al, also survived injuries along with Jr NTR in the car crash in 2009. Rajeev, a good friend of Jr NTR, was accompanying the latter in his journey back to Hyderabad. “Everything happened in the wink of an eyelid,” said Rajeev in one his recent video interviews.

The Bigg Boss Telugu season 2 host also met with a major car crash last year. The actor was heading back from a film shoot in the wee hours when his driver fell asleep behind the wheels and the car rammed into an electric pole in Jubilee Hills area. The actor sustained minor bruises and recovered within a week; due credits to the functional airbags.

Ace TV host Anasuya Bharadwaj, who shot to fame with TV shows Jabardasth and Rangasthalam, was fortunate enough to escape a road accident unhurt. This happened in 2017 when she was heading back to Hyderabad from Bangalore and her car hit another car on the highway in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh.

The actress soon took to her social media handle to update fans that she is fine.

TV actor Venky and his team Venky Monkies are popular for their confusion comedy in Jabardasth. He met with a tragedy in 2017 when he was heading back to Hyderabad from Warangal, Telangana. The car he was driving was hit by another car from the rear end while he was slowing down to make way for an overtaking bus. Venky survived the accident unhurt and he filed a case against the offenders.

He is currently going great guns with his innovative comedy sketches in Jabardasth.

TV actress Rohini Reddy of Srinivasa Kalyanam fame survived a fatal car crash in 2016 when her car rammed into a lorry at Ibrahimpatnam while she was heading to take part in the ceremonious Krishna Pushkaralu in Vijayawada. The actress along with the driver and her assistant were severely injured in the incident.

Actress-TV host Rashmi Gautam survived minor bruises in a recent road accident on March 17. The actress was reportedly heading back to home in Gajuwaka (Vishakhapatnam) from a shoot when her car hit a truck driver trying to cross the road on the Agnampudi Highway near Vishakhapatnam. While speaking to us about the incident, Rashmi said, “There were no lights at this part of the highway and this man was running across the road when we, unfortunately, hit him.”
