Ahead of the Punjab Assembly elections, Union Minister of Jal Shakti and Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party’s election in-charge Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on January 24 urged the Election Commission of India (ECI) to take action against former Punjab Director-General of Police (DGP) Mustafa for allegedly making a provocative speech in Baghwala Mohalla in Malerkota on January 20. “We urged ECI to act against former Punjab DGP Mustafa for making a provocative speech in Malerkotla on Jan 20. In a statement, he said “I swear by Allah, I'll not let them (Hindu) organise any political event. I'm a soldier of community,” he said.
