Delhi Minister blames illegal sand mining in Haryana as high ammonia levels in Yamuna affect water supply

Speaking on water supply affected due to increased Ammonia levels in Yamuna, Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on March 29 alleged illegal sand mining in Haryana over the issue. “Sand mining was going on a large scale on the supply that comes from Haryana region through our Yamuna. The water that is coming to Delhi now is not Yamuna water, it is coming from Haryana with industrial waste. The tests that have come yesterday are the highest in the history of ammonia till now,” said Saurabh Bharadwaj.
