Trouble mounts for suspended AAP councillor Tahir Hussain. A report was submitted by the State Forensic Science Laboratory to the Delhi Police crime branch after analysing the chemical bottles seized from the residence of Tahir Hussain. The forensic report will now be part of the supplementary chargesheet that will be submitted by the crime branch. Post the riots, the crime branch had seized a large number of bottles containing chemicals and commercially used acid. Approximately 50 litres of acid was seized from the terrace of Tahir Hussain residence in Chand Bagh area of north-east Delhi. It was said that Tahir and his aides had procured chemicals and acid from nearby illegal factories. Top sources in the Delhi Police say chemicals found at the house of Tahir Hussain to be "acidic and lethal for the human body".
