Palm Sunday: Members of Christian community in Visakhapatnam take out rally carrying palm fronds

Members of the Christian community in Visakhapatnam took out rally carrying palm fronds decorated with flowers on the occasion of Palm Sunday. Special prayers were organised in the churches to mark the occasion. 'Palm Sunday' processions are meant to remember the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem just five days before the Christ was crucified. The palm fronds would be taken home by the people to be preserved till the Ash Wednesday next year. Many craft them into crosses and displayed them.
