Iran has signalled a significant escalation in its ongoing campaign, with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claiming that its latest wave of attacks involved more than 100 missiles and drones, alongside additional rocket fire from allied groups. The scale and composition of the attack suggest a shift toward saturation tactics, in which multiple projectile types are launched simultaneously to complicate detection and interception. By combining ballistic missiles, drones, and short-range rockets, Iran appears to be increasing both the volume and complexity of incoming threats. The IRGC has also claimed that the latest strikes extended beyond Israel to include US-linked assets in the Gulf region. However, these claims remain independently unverified. Compared to earlier phases of the conflict, which saw more limited or targeted strikes, the current approach indicates a move toward sustained, high-intensity operations across multiple theatres.
