A team of archaeologists have discovered a tomb believed to be the resting place of an ancient Peruvian religious leader which dates back 3,000 years. The discovery of the burial chamber by the Pacopampa Archaeological Project in the district of Querocoto, Cajamarca region, is believed to belong to an important priest who was about 35 years of age. In the tomb were also offerings including necklaces made out of small and large beads of sea shells, as well as bright green rocks.
