Body scanners to be installed in all Indian airports from 2019

In a bid to speed up the current time-frame of security checks at Indian airports, body scanners will be installed in all Indian airports from 2019. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) will soon submit the technical specifications for these scanners after which the airports across the country will be able to install body scanners that meet those norms. Similar body scanners are used broadly abroad, especially in the United States.
