Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud has delivered a sharp and uncompromising response following Iran’s attack on two refineries in Riyadh. He said whatever little trust remained between Riyadh and Tehran has now been completely shattered. The Saudi FM accused Iran of continuing strikes on civilian sites, rejecting Tehran’s claim that the attacks are linked to US military bases as “unconvincing.” He warned that Iran’s aggression against its neighbours will have consequences and is only pushing the country into deeper regional and global isolation.
