Iran Signals More Safe Passage For Indian Ships As BRICS Meet Faces West Asia Divide

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi arrived in India for the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting amid sharp tensions over the West Asia conflict. Iran claimed one BRICS nation was blocking consensus by seeking condemnation of Tehran in the joint declaration. Tehran praised India’s neutral role and said it would facilitate more Indian ships through the Strait of Hormuz despite ongoing restrictions. Discussions also focused on Chabahar Port, energy security and regional instability, while India prepares for key energy agreements with the UAE. Watch
