Karnataka: Opposition demands the resignation of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai

Former Karnataka Chief Minister and current Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah and other Congress leaders protested outside Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai's residence after Rs 6 crore was discovered at the home of a sitting BJP MLA. They demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai after the Lokayukta, the state government's anti-corruption watchdog, arrested a state BJP MLA, Madal Virupakshappa's son Prashant Madal, for taking a bribe of Rs 40 lakh.
