Sasaram: Two teachers of a govt school lost their lives and several others were seriously injured after a bus carrying students overturned on NH-319 near Sohsa village under the Parsathua police station area in Rohtas district early Tuesday.
According to police sources, the bus was carrying students and teachers of Middle School Badauna, which falls under Chainpur police station in Kaimur district. The group was travelling to Patna on an educational tour when the accident occurred around 1.30am.

The deceased teachers were as Puneet Kumar and Sumit Kumar. Five other teachers, including a female teacher, and 11 students sustained serious injuries in the mishap. All the injured were immediately rushed to Sasaram Sadar Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
Rohtas SP Roshan Kumar said seven teachers, 36 students and a guardian were on board the bus at the time of the accident. He added that the cause of the accident was yet to be ascertained.
