Gunshot fired outside house in Delhi's Adarsh Nagar; accused on the run

NEW DELHI: A firing incident was reported in northwest Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar on Tuesday.According to the police, a PCR call was received at Adarsh Nagar police station around 10.05 pm regarding gunshots fired outside a residence in the area.

The complainant, a 42-year-old woman, alleged that a man identified as Bedu (22), who allegedly had a prior dispute with her son, arrived outside their house around 9.45 pm and fired one round in the air before fleeing the spot.Based on her statement, an FIR under Section 125 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita was registered at Adarsh Nagar police station.Police said the accused is found to previously have been involved in an attempt to murder case registered at Model Town police station in 2022. Originally a resident of Ashok Vihar, he is currently believed to be staying in a rented accommodation in Burari. Police teams are conducting raids to apprehend him.Police added that the complainant’s son is also involved in a theft case registered in 2024 at the same police station.
