Riniki Bhuyan Sharma, wife of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, has launched a scathing attack on Congress following allegations raised by leader Pawan Khera regarding her passports and the CM’s election affidavit. Dismissing the claims as baseless, she accused the party of orchestrating a deliberate smear campaign using AI-generated and doctored content. Sharma alleged that Congress leaders have been targeting her and her family for the past two years despite their non-political background. Calling the actions “shameful” and “irresponsible,” she said such tactics reflect poorly on a veteran political party. The remarks have intensified the ongoing political confrontation in Assam.
