Karnataka Legislative Council polls: BJP falls short of majority with 12 seats, Congress wins 11

In the Karnataka Legislative Council polls of 25 seats from 20 local authority constituencies, the BJP was able to maintain a slight edge over the Congress with 12 seats, while the Congress was not far behind at 11 seats. The real loser in the polls was JD(S), with the party winning only one seat in Hassan. In Bengaluru, BJP Candidate H S Gopinath Reddy won and the party workers celebrated in style.
