Marathi actress Ketaki Chitale held for derogatory post against NCP chief Sharad Pawar

The Thane Police arrested Marathi actress Ketaki Chitale for allegedly sharing a derogatory social media post on NCP chief Sharad Pawar. The post was allegedly written by someone else and it was shared by the actress on her Facebook wall. The actress was booked by Kalwa police station on charges of defamation, spreading disharmony and promoting hate and ill-will and saw NCP activists protest when she arrived at the police station and again the next morning when she was brought to a court for remand. Ketaki Chitale has been sent to police custody till May 18.
