The cast for ‘House of the Dragon’ got together at the London Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square for the show’s premiere event recently. While attending the event, the stars could not help but share some exclusive details about the upcoming season of the show.
While in conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, D’Arcy teased that this season is bringing more momentum to her character this time around. She added, “There is a feeling that the position she finds herself in is fated in some way… [It’s a] character who has been kind of restrained from action for two seasons [who is] finally on the precipice of seizing her end.”
Matt Smith, who plays Daemon in the upcoming season, also revealed some exclusive details about what fans can expect from the coming episodes. He cited in the interview that fans can expect a lot of blood and thrills. “I think they’ve aimed for scale, blood. It’s a big bloodbath, really, this season, which is absolutely where it’s needed to go. I think that’s when the show is actually operating at its best in many ways — particularly for Daemon,” he further added.
What is ‘House of the Dragon’ season 3 going to be about
The upcoming season of the ‘Game of Thrones’ spinoff, which is set to be released on OTT platforms on June 21, is set around the infamous Dance of the Dragons war. The events pick up right after King's Landing falls apart, and Alicent surrenders the city to Rhaenyra Targaryen. The latter also wishes to kill Aegon in front of a crowd to set an example.
Many big names from the previous seasons are returning, which include Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Fabien Frankel, Steve Toussaint, Harry Collett, Tom Glynn-Carney, Ewan Mitchell, Bethany Antonia and Phoebe Campbell.
