Samantha Ruth Prabhu on 'Citadel: Honey Bunny': 'I made a promise to challenge myself with every role'

Ahead of her appearance in Citadel: Honey Bunny, Samantha Ruth Prabhu revealed what this project means to her personally and professionally.

Returning to the screen after a considerable gap, Samantha will portray a layered role in this international original series, which is being helmed by Raj & DK. The actress will co-star with Varun Dhawan in the series.

Recently, Samantha hosted an "Ask Me Anything" session on Instagram, during which she shared insights into her life and discussed what it took to prepare for her character in the series.

When asked how she felt about the role, Samantha revealed that she always pushes herself to take on greater challenges. "I made a promise to myself that I will challenge myself with every role that I play. Each challenge is more difficult than the last one," she shared.

Acknowledging her past failures, she displayed humility by accepting her mistakes and learning from them. "Things haven't really worked out, and I accept failure. I accept that I might not have done my best in the last few films," she stated.

Even amidst these reflections, Samantha takes pride in Citadel: Honey Bunny, even before its release. She described the role as the most challenging yet, "the most layered, complicated, and challenging role I have ever played."
