The UAE ministry of defence has announced the successful interception of a second wave of Iranian missiles launched towards the country.
In a statement on X, the ministry confirmed that air defences handled the incoming threats with the highest efficiency, resulting in no damage or injuries. Fragments of the intercepted missiles fell in scattered areas of Abu Dhabi, including Saadiyat Island, Khalifa City, the Bani Yas area, Mohammed bin Zayed City, and the Al Falah area.
The ministry affirmed that it remains on high alert and is fully prepared to take all necessary measures to counter threats to national security and stability.
Emphasising that the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors is a non-negotiable priority, the UAE characterised the targeting as a flagrant violation of national sovereignty and international law.
The state reserves its full right to take required measures to protect its territories and citizens, while urging the public to rely exclusively on official sources and avoid circulating unverified rumours.
