World's most safe and risky cities: Forbes report

Singapore emerges as the world's safest city indicating minimal risk across all evaluated metrics such as high crime rates, violence, political instability, and economic challenges. It scores 0 out of 100 in terms of the assessed risk level, according to Forbes Advisor.

Tokyo closely follows Singapore, maintaining a reputation for safety, efficient infrastructure, and low crime rates.

Toronto also ranks among the safest cities, with strong public safety measures and high-quality infrastructure.

Australia's Sydney ranks 4th on the list with some impressive safety indicators. The city takes the top spot in terms of digital security.

Switzerland's Zurich boasts an exceptionally high level of security, with the third lowest risk of natural disasters worldwide. The city's highly effective law enforcement agencies maintains a remarkably low crime rate.

Meanwhile, Manila ranked as the fifth riskiest city. The report indicated that Manila has the highest natural disaster risk, the fifth highest personal security risk and the seventh highest health security risk.

Nigeria's Lagos ranked fourth as the most risky city in the world on the Forbes Adviser list.

Yangon's position as the third-most risky city stems from similar issues of crime and violence, along with political unrest and economic vulnerabilities. Yangon score was 91.67 out of 100.

Pakistan's Karachi faces several personal security risks, including crime, violence, terrorist threats, and natural disasters. The city's travel safety is rated as "level 3 - reconsider travel" by the US State Department. Karachi scored 93.12 out of 100.

Caracas is recognized as the most risky city in the world for tourists. Factors contributing to this ranking include high crime rates, violence, political instability, and economic challenges. It scores 100 out of 100.
