Candace Owens shares new conspiracy theory blaming Mikey McCoy’s wife for Erika Kirk’s struggles at TPUSA
Candace Owens did not hold back, she started with a bold claim and then pushed it further. On her Monday podcast, Candace Owens shared what she openly called a “conspiracy theory.” She suggested that Elizabeth McCoy, the wife of Mikey McCoy, may be giving bad advice to Erika Kirk after the death of Charlie Kirk.
Owens said she believes someone close to the leadership of Turning Point USA may be setting Erika Kirk up to fail. She claimed the choices made at the group’s recent events looked planned, not random. According to Owens, this was the only explanation she could think of for what she called a string of “disastrous” decisions.
She made it clear this was her personal theory and said she was sharing it “for fun.” Still, her words quickly caught attention online. Candace Owens even compared the situation to the movie Mean Girls. She said Elizabeth McCoy reminded her of Lindsay Lohan’s character, who pretends to help while secretly causing harm.
Candace Owens said Elizabeth McCoy may be pretending to support Erika Kirk while pushing ideas that make her look bad in public. She claimed this could explain why recent TPUSA events received strong criticism.
“She’s pretending to be Erika’s BFF, but secretly giving her the worst advice of all time,” Owens said.
“She’s like, ‘You should wear glitter tonight… Charlie loved pyrotechnics… We need to put the fun in funeral.’ I don’t know. That’s what I think. I think it’s Elizabeth McCoy. Remember, it was Elizabeth McCoy. It was her idea to put the tent up. It’s her. This is my conspiracy theory.”
Candace Owens also suggested Elizabeth McCoy may want Erika Kirk’s “throne.” She said this idea helped explain why the group kept making mistakes instead of fixing them.
The podcaster then moved to another issue. She criticized Turning Point USA for sending a legal letter to YouTuber Zack Gregorio. In a January 18 video, Gregorio said TPUSA accused him of making false claims about its finances.
Owens said the move would only make things worse.
“You can’t just sue people,” Owens said.
“It’s obviously going to backfire.”
She added that Turning Point should have handled the issue in a normal way.
“Why can’t Turning Point try to behave like a human and just have somebody email from the PR office?” she asked.
“They have so much money, and they’re spending money on stupidity.”
Before speaking on her podcast, Candace Owens also posted on X and mocked TPUSA’s legal action. She even joked that the group should hire her as a paid adviser.
