Perez Hilton slams Donald Trump’s Christmas message, calls president a “reality TV icon” and questions his claims

Perez Hilton reacted to President Donald Trump’s holiday message after it caused backlash online. Instead of sharing a positive or uniting message, Trump used his post on Truth Social to attack political opponents and praise his own work.

In his Christmas post, Trump took aim at what he described as the “radical left” while boasting about border security, low crime, and a strong economy. The message spread fast online and triggered reactions from across politics and media. Perez Hilton was one of the loudest voices, sharing a YouTube reaction where he openly questioned the claims and expressed his disbelief.

In the video, Hilton questioned Trump’s statements and called him a “reality TV icon,” suggesting the president treats serious moments like entertainment. He openly challenged Trump’s comments about supporting law enforcement and pointed to the pardoning of people involved in the January 6 Capitol riot.


Hilton said: “What does that mean?... You know what is not supporting our law enforcement? Pardoning all of those January 6 people who were awful towards our law enforcement. Make it make sense. Make it make sense.”

Hilton also pushed back strongly on Trump’s claims about the economy, especially inflation and cost of living. He argued that everyday Americans experience something very different when they shop for basic needs. Referring to Trump’s comments, Hilton said:

“Ah, no inflation. You know what? This has worked for him before. He tells lies enough that people believe them, but I do my own shopping. I know what prices are like.”

The blogger went further, saying the situation has hurt how the world views the United States. According to Hilton, the country’s leadership has become a source of ridicule rather than respect. He summed up his frustration by saying: "We are laughed at perhaps like never before."
