It has been a roller coaster ride for Noida boy Manveer Gurjar, whose stay in the 'Bigg Boss' house this current season, has been nothing short of eventful. The dairy farmer from Noida’s Agahpur Village has not only earned a loyal following for himself but this last weekend, he also reconciled with his father who hadn’t been speaking to him for the last four years. Manveer’s father, Maharaj Singh, visited the 'Bigg Boss' house last week and the father-son had an emotional reunion on camera.

Maharaj Singh says that this was the first time in years that he had spoken to his son, after the father-son duo had a fall out four years back.
Hadn’t been on talking terms for four years
Talking about the cause behind their rift, Maharaj Singh tells us, “We hadn’t been speaking to each other for over four years even though we live in the same house. The reason was his refusal to listen to me or take my advice for anything. Bas apni marzi ki karta tha aur woh pasand nahi mujhe. He kept terrible company and I didn’t think he was serious about his future too. Toh jab laga ki meri baton ka koi asar nahi ho raha, maine kehna hi chhod diya. If I wanted to tell him something, I would convey it through his mother. We hadn’t spoken to each other directly since 2012.”

It was an emotional moment for me too
The two had an emotional reunion on camera in the 'Bigg Boss' house, where Manveer fell at his father’s feet and cried. Maharaj Singh says even he was very emotional seeing his son like that. “When I saw him and he cried, even I became emotional. It’s true that I hadn’t been speaking to him for years but in the end, he is my son and who can see their child suffer? He took the first step and apologised. Uske baad mera bhi dil bhar aaya. At that point, all was forgiven and forgotten,” he says.

'Bigg Boss' ne mera beta sudhaar diya
Maharaj Singh admits to being surprised by the drastic change in his son’s behaviour over the last 10 weeks. He says, “I even told Salman ki aap logon ne kya jaadu kar diya ladke par ki jo ladka apne haath se ek paani ka glass nahi leta tha, aaj woh saare kaam khud kar raha hai – kapde bhi dho raha hai aur khana bhi bana raha hai. I never expected him to last this long in the house. But he has changed himself a lot. Sober ho gaya hai kaafi, samajhdar hai. 'Bigg Boss' mein jaake mera ladka sudhar gaya hai.” However, Maharaj Singh does have a complaint, not unlike most parents! “He has grown so weak. His health has deteriorated there. Khayal nahi rakhta hai apna wahan.”

'I am certain that Manveer will win'
Maharaj Singh says this is the first time he has heard good things about Manveer from so many different people, giving him reason to be proud of his son after ages. “All the inmates in the Bigg Boss house praised him a lot. Sab ne kaha uncle aapne bahut ache sanskaar diye hain isko. Even the crew of the show are all praises for him. Baahar bhi log milte hain toh kehte hain ki aapke bete jaisa suljha insaan iss show mein nahi dekha. This is the first time I am hearing good things about him from so many people. That makes me very happy, makes me proud of him,” he says. And what about Manveer’s chances on the show? He promptly replies,“With so much crowd support, I am 110% sure of him winning the show. He is playing very well and the public likes him. Ab toh woh jeet kar hi aayega.”
