Safety has become one of the biggest influential factors when buying a new car in India. A survey revealed that 9 out of 10 Indian customers in India want vehicles with a safety rating. Indian automakers are making six airbags as standard across all variants to increase the safety of their vehicles. In this slideshow, let’s take a look at cars and SUVs offered with six airbags as standard.

Hyundai Exter

The first car on the list is Hyundai Exter. The Hyundai Exter is offered in five trims – EX, S, SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect. All variants get six airbags as standard across all variants. The Exter is powered by a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine that produces 83hp of power and 114Nm of peak torque.

Hyundai i20

The next car on the list is the recently launched Hyundai i20. The new i20 facelift is available in five variants - Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O). All variants get six airbags as standard. The new i20 is offered with a single 1.2-litre NA Petrol engine option. This engine puts out 88 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque and comes paired either with a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic.

Kia Carens

The next car on the list is Kia Carens. The Carens is offered in Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, Luxury (O) and Luxury Plus variants. All variants get six airbags as standard. The Carens is offered with three engine options - a 1.5-litre turbo petrol, 1.5-litre NA Petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel.

Hyundai Creta



​Another Hyundai on the list is Hyundai Creta. The Creta gets six airbags as standard across all variants. The Creta is offered with two engine options - a 1.5 litre NA Petrol and a 1.5 litre turbo diesel.

Kia Seltos

Another Kia on the list is the newly launched Kia Seltos. The Seltos too get six airbags as standard across all variants and are offered with three engine options - a 1.5-litre NA Petrol, 1.5-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel.

Hyundai Alcazar

The next car on the list is Hyundai Alcazar. The Alcazar gets six airbags as standard across all variants. The Alcazar is offered with two engine options - a 1.5-litre turbo diesel and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engines.

Hyundai Verna

The last car on the list is the Hyundai Verna sedan. The Hyundai Verna is offered in four variants - EX, S, SX, SX (O). All variants get six airbags as standard and are offered with two engine options - a 1.5-litre NA Petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol.
