While there are several examples of conservative women on the small screen and off it, there are others, who are breaking stereotypes and changing the world with their bold and daring attitude. They are known to speak their mind and are helping redefine a modern day feminist. Here's a look at badass women of TV, who are breaking stereotypes and how!

Bani J: VJ Bani, who rose to fame after her stint in 'MTV Roadies', became a popular name in no time, specially after her participation in controversial reality show Bigg Boss. The VJ turned actress is bold, fearless and daring. Considering she is a fitness freak, she loves to flaunt abs, and cares a damn for those who call her body 'masculine'.

Bani J: She is currently in news for her lip lock with hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani. The two women created quite a furore on social media with their kissing video made on Boomerang. Quite the follower of 'my body, my rules', Bani tops our list for being the most badass women on TV.

Sapna Bhavnani: Celebrity hairstylist and ex-Bigg Boss contestant Sapna Bhavnani doesn't shy away from speaking her mind. Sapna has made headlines in the past by revealing that she was gang raped 20 years ago and how it took her years to talk about it. From having a messed up marriage to facing domestic violence, Sapna has seen it all and is now all cool to be vocal about it.

Sapna Bhavnani: Not just this, Sapna has openly talked about her being a bisexual, something that she has reiterated in her latest post where she has said that love has no gender. Her social initiatives encourage more women to fight the fear and set out to explore the world alone. She certainly gets a thumbs-up for that!

Diandra Soares: Model, actress and ex-Bigg Boss contestant Diandra Soares is considered to be one of the most badass women of television. From carrying numerous tattoos to shaving her head, Diandra is bold and fearless. In her posts, the actress has spoken about several issues that plague women - and one of them recently was body shaming.

Diandra Soares: Speaking about the same, Diandra had written in an Instagram post: She said "Ladies, a real man wants real curves. Love your curves, flaunt em' be proud of your changing body .... a woman's body has the power to give life so treat it with respect !!!! Saloni Chopra: Popular for her role in 'MTV Girls on Top', TV actress Saloni Chopra continues to break stereotypes with a bold photo series talking about sexuality, slut shaming etc. In a five-part series earlier, Saloni had spoken her mind about abuse, both physical and verbal, sexuality, inhibitions, the lies and the shame most women are put through.

Saloni Chopra: The pictures she had posted on her social media account were also quite symbolic of what she intended to convey. With most women coming out in the open and boldly talking about their choices and preferences, Saloni's photo series was praise-worthy. Her thoughts are neatly put out, almost always. For the uninitiated, the actress is also a part of Free The Nipple movement.

Priya Malik: Priya Malik rose to fame with her stint on Bigg Boss 9 and has always been vocal about her opinions. After the CBFC asked the makers of 'Baar Baar Dekho', a film that released last year, to remove a visual showing bra from the film, the stand-up comedian turned actress took to her social media to protest against the move.

Priya Malik: Priya chose to do away with the bra and wore nothing underneath the dress to show her support for the film. More recently, the actress stood strongly against rape. She shamed those who think that it is the clothing of the women which arouses men to do this sin. Talking on the same, Priya had written on her Twitter account, "Dear custodians of Indian culture, I´m looking for some anti rape clothing? Neither the sari nor the skirt seem to qualify. Please help." Well, kudos to her!
