As March 2026 progresses, customers planning visits to bank branches are advised to check the holiday schedule in advance to avoid inconvenience. Banks in India observe both national and state-specific holidays, which means closure dates can differ across regions.
Next month, several banks will remain closed for state and festival observances. In addition, banks will also be closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month, in line with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines. Customers are advised to plan large cash deposits, cheque clearances, and other branch-dependent services accordingly.
