Akbar Khan hopes to revive the world's interest in the monument with his flop film.If people cannot come to see the Taj Mahal - one of the new Seven Wonders of the World - then the Taj Mahal will go to them! That is film-maker Akbar Khan's dream. Cashing in on the monument's popular inclusion in the new list of Seven Wonders of the World over the weekend, Akbar intends to re-release his flop film
Taj Mahal - An Eternal Love Story internationally.
The film, which crossed a Rs 50 crore budget, has model Zulfikar Sayed playing Shah Jahan and Sonia Jehan, playing Mumtaz. However, the film bombed at the box office. Akbar is now full of optimism. "This is most certainly the right time for a re-release . At this point when the Taj Mahal is such a hot topic, people across the world will want to know the reason behind its existence," an excited Akbar told CT.
He is dubbing the movie in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and other languages. "For the European market, I will have a separate cut of the film. I am deleting three songs out of five," revealed the filmmaker.
