MATHURA: An e-rickshaw driver created panic at a district hospital after walking in with a 1.5-foot-long snake in his pocket, which had allegedly bitten him, an official said. A purported video of the incident has surfaced on social media.Deepak (39), a local resident, was reportedly bitten by the snake on Monday and arrived at the hospital seeking an anti-venom injection, according to news agency PTI.In the viral video, when asked about the snake that had bitten him, Deepak is seen pulling the reptile out of his jacket pocket and then placing it back inside. The patient claimed that he had reached the hospital around 30 minutes earlier and alleged that there were no facilities available.“The patient was told to leave the reptile outside as it was putting the lives of other patients in danger," chief medical superintendent Neeraj Agrawal said.Police were later informed and rescued the snake. However, it is suspected that the reptile belonged to Deepak, the CMS added.
