Gandhinagar: Speaking at an event to distribute scholarships under the state govt's Namo Lakshmi and Namo Saraswati Gyan Sadhana schemes, Union home minister
Amit Shah urged the students to aim high so that they can achieve great success in their lives.
"The Namo Lakshmi and Namo Saraswati Gyan Sadhana schemes will make a qualitative change in Gujarat's education sector. A sum of Rs 116 crore will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of 10.85 lakh beneficiaries. This amount will help students complete their higher secondary education," he said.
Shah noted that over the past two decades, Gujarat's enrolment rate increased substantially and the dropout rate of students dropped drastically.
