Ahmedabad: The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) has announced the admission schedule for first-year degree architecture courses for students after Class 12 science and diploma engineering. Registration for admissions to govt, granted and self-financed architecture colleges across the state will begin on May 19 and continue till June 20.
Students can complete the entire admission process online without physically visiting the admission office.
According to the notification, candidates seeking admission must have appeared in either the JEE Main Paper-2 examination or the NATA 2025-26 examination. The first round of seat allotment will be declared on July 14.
As per eligibility norms, students from the science stream must have studied physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with chemistry, biology, technical vocational subjects, computer science or information technology. General category students must secure at least 45% marks, while reserved category students require a minimum of 40% marks to qualify for registration.
Under the Council of Architecture norms, appearing in either NATA or JEE Main Paper-2 is compulsory for admission.
At present, 20 architecture colleges in the state offer a total of 1,232 seats. However, the Admission Committee will conduct the admission process only for 733 government quota seats. Last year, 1,051 students secured admission to architecture courses.
Of the seats available under the admission process, 100 are in granted colleges, 141 in Centres of Excellence institutions and 492 in self-financed colleges. Management quota admissions will be conducted separately by eligible institutions.
As per the admission schedule, document submission will continue till June 25, while the provisional merit list will be published on June 30. Mock round choice filling will be held from June 30 to July 5, with results scheduled for July 7. Final choice filling will take place between July 8 and July 12.
Academic sessions for the new batch will commence from Aug 1, while the entire admission process is expected to conclude by Aug 31.
