Modi threatens those who brought disrepute to Gujarat

<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">LUNAWADA (PANCHMAHALS DISTRICT): Chief Minister Narendra Modi has now trained his guns on the people who brought "disrepute to Gujarat". Even as he kicked off the sixth leg of the Gaurav Yatra, Modi threatened rather dramatically: "<span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Gujarat ko badnam karne walon ko chun chun ke dekh lenga</span>."<br />Referring to the explosions, like the one that took place at the bus depot in Lunavada on Thursday preceded by the one onboard a state transport bus in Godhra, Modi said these were the designs of people who wanted to bring disrepute to the state.<br />In his speech, where he repeatedly said that he will take "the people who brought Gujarat disrepute" to task, Modi said: "I am waiting for the Assembly elections.Once the BJP gets re-elected, I will take each one of these culprits to task." <br />But, fiery declarations apart his yatra at Panchmahals district was plagued by poor attendance, as compared to his yatra in Sabarkantha. Tight security arrangements was another factor that was different from the earlier phases of his Gaurav Yatra.<br />Taking a dig at the Congress, Modi said: "Congressmen have been saying that the Ram Sevaks were burnt alive, as they did not pay for the tea that they had at the Godhra railway station. Other Congress leaders tried to justify the massacre by saying that Ram Sevaks were chanting ‘Jai Shree Ram’." He added: "If not in India where will they take lord Ram’s name, in Italy ?" <br />"When we killed the terrorists, who had laid a siege on the Akshardham temple, the Congress wanted to know why? These forthcoming elections will put an end to all criticisms, because unlike them, we fight for Gujarat. Kitne din khair manaoge? Kabhi to Id ayegi," said Modi.<br />Modi then shifted focus to "Miya Musharraf". He said: "Musharraf has been sending these hired gunmen to kill me. The mothers in Gujarat are not barren. If one Modi dies there will be several others to take my place. </div> </div>
