73-yr-old woman stabbed to death

ALLAHABAD: A 73-year-old woman was found stabbed to death in her house an was found in a pool of blood in Lukerganj locality under Khuldabad police station on Saturday morning. The incident came to light when the victim's daughter went to search her, as she did not return after a long time.
As per reports, the victim, Margaret Mericus aged 73 years was living in her house in Lukerganj locality alongwith her daughter Namrata and granddaughter. Her husband had died a few years back and the family was staying in the house owned by the victim.
The incident took place at around 5.30 am. And the body of the victim was found lying in a pool of blood with injury marks on her body.
Namrata immediately informed the local police who took the body into their custody. Inspector, Khuldabad police station, said that the victim was stabbed to death. The dog squad was pressed into service and efforts are on to ascertain the identity of persons involved in this heinous crime.
