The stage is set for elections to High Court Bar Association, polling for which will be from 10am to 5pm.

ALLAHABAD: The stage is set for elections to High Court Bar Association on Monday, polling for which will be from 10am to 5pm. Adequate security arrangements are in place for the elections and the results are expected to be announced by midnight.
A total of six candidates are in the fray for the post of president including V C Mishra, N C Rajvanshi, C L Pandey, S K Garg, Umesh Narain Sharma and Y D Sharma.

Similarly for the post for secretary too six contenders are trying their luck including Anil Tiwari, K K Roy, Mahendra Bahadur Singh, Pranesh Dutt Tripathi, S P Sharma and Sarita Singh.
Two additional posts have been created this year in the HCBA. These posts are of senior vice-president and joint ladies secretary. For the post of senior vice-president, D S Mishra, P N Gangwar, R N Ojha, V S Singh (Pujari) are in the fray whereas for the post of joint ladies secretary, Anjana Singh Dewal, Reema Gupta and Reeta Gupta are seeking support of voters.
A total of 15 candidates are contesting on the post of vice-president whereas 37 candidates are in the fray for 15 posts of governing council members.
