Inmates angry over supply of contaminated water

ALLAHABAD: Students of Tara Chand Hostel attached to the Allahabad University protested against the supply of contaminated water to their hostel. The boys even showed that water coming to their hostel have worms due to which it not suitable for consumption.
The students revealed that they have complained about the supply of contaminated water to the authorities concerned for the past 10 days, but, they have not taken any action.
Complaining about the lackadaisical attitude of the Allahabad University authorities, Deepak Tripathi, an inmate of the hostel said, "The water that is being supplied to the hostel is full of worms due to which it is not fit for consumption. Scores of hostel inmates suffered from jaundice due to supply of contaminated water last year. It seems that hostel authorities are not bothered about the health of the students."
