VHP mobile squads to prevent cow slaughter

Prayagraj: Regional secretary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP -Kashi prant) Gau raksha wing, Lal Mani Tiwari, said 'Gaurakshak Sachal Dasta’ (cow protection mobile squads) will be formed across the region to check and prevent smuggling and slaughter of bovines ahead of Bakrid.

Holding an important meeting at Kydganj, Tiwari said slaughter and smuggling of cow would not be permitted. He said, “In every block of Kashi prant, as many as 11 ( gau rakshak) cow protectors have been designated to the mobile squads and the volunteers will form teams at village level. On receiving alert about smuggling and slaughter of cow anywhere within the district, activists from different blocks will converge at the scene of the incident.

Additionally, activists will form teams to patrol villages known to be hotspots for cow slaughter and will strive to prevent such acts. In accordance with a central directive, a memorandum addressed to the President will also be submitted to the district magistrate and police commissioner ahead of Bakrid.
