Case against minister Buggana, 30 others following attack on independent candidate in Dhone

TIRUPATI: The Bethamcherla police on Tuesday, booked a case under the SC/ST atrocities Act against finance minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy and his 30 followers, following an attack on an independent candidate PN Babu on Monday in the middle of polling.
PN Babu, a retired additional SP, was one of the independent candidates, contesting against Buggana at the Dhone assembly.
In his complaint to the Bethamcherla police, PN Babu alleged that Buggana and his followers, obstructed his vehicle, passed casteist remarks and attacked him indiscriminately. He alleged that his vehicle too was ransacked.
