Bareilly: Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) Alka Sharma removed a cook and suspended three, including the head teacher, for allegedly serving adulterated milk to students during a mid-day meal at a composite school in Aadhol block of Sambhal.
On Thursday, a video of the incident was widely circulated on social media. Taking note, Sharma visited the school on Friday to investigate. The BSA suspended head teacher Rakesh Singh, assistant teacher Abdur Rahman, and fourth-grade employee Sachin, while the cook, Pravesh, was removed.
In the purported video, shot by a villager on Wednesday, the staff were seen mixing water with milk to increase the quantity. The villagers alleged that a complaint was made to block education officer earlier, but no action was taken.
"A committee has been formed for departmental inquiry, and further action will be based on its findings. Such negligence will not be tolerated, and strict action will be taken if such issues come to light," said Sharma.
