Karan Singh and Ilika Srivastava as Mr and Miss Fresher 2019The season of fresher’s parties is here, which is the main attraction of college life among students the moment they join college. This is time when colleges begin to welcome fuchchas and organize joyous celebrations. And one such fun-filled fresher’s party was organized recently at Lal Bahadur Institute of Management and Technology (LBSIMT) for its PGDM students.
The fresher’s were given a hearty welcome by the seniors and faculty members, and it was an evening full of cultural extravaganza.

Fuchchas at the party The celebrations kicked off with a mesmerizing dance performances by senior students including Mini Saxena, Mansi Chhabra, Mona Negi, Jaspreet Kaur, Jyoti Singh and Anshika Agarwal on sizzling dance number ‘
psycho saiyaan’, ‘wakhra swag’ and ‘ishq ka raja’
, which was admired by all. The second year students Jaskirat Singh and Naman Agarwal delighted the audience with their singing on the songs ‘
moh moh ke dhaage’
and
‘tujhe kitna chhahne lage’
that grabbed huge applauses from everyone and junior insisted them to sing once more.
Later, after seniors showcased their performances, it was time for fuchchas to have some fun and frolic. Several games like balancing the balloon, crossing the hurdle blindfold, and on-the-spot fun quiz were also played and fuchchas participated in full zeal and had super fun.

Some fun time!This was followed by the much-awaited event of the evening that was Mr and Miss Fresher contest. The fuchchas rocked the floor with a ramp walk and introduced themselves impressively to the seniors. In the talent round, fresher’s presented their talent through singing, poetry and dance. Pallavi Saxena’s dance performance on a mash-up of songs ‘
Bareilly wala jhoomka’
and ‘
Pardesiya
’ remained the highlight. Soon after, question-answer round was held and based on overall performances, Ilika Srivastava and Karan Singh were adjudged as Miss and Mr Freshers of the college respectively. The compering of the entire event was done by Yash Kohli and Anshika Agarwal.
Ilika Srivastava
, who bagged the title of Miss Fresher, says, “Fresher’s party is not just the best time to break the ice between seniors and juniors, but it’s an opportunity to showcase your talent in front of teachers and seniors, to let them know who you are, and most importantly, the best medium to unveil yourself and shed your inhibitions. And I am happy that I am able to do all of this. It’s a great feeling to receive the title of Miss Fresher’s that made me popular instantly. And I am going to live this moment of happiness to the fullest.”

, another fresher, puts, “It was just an awesome party where we chilled out with seniors in a friendly atmosphere, and during the prepping up days, connected well with them. They were good enough to boost our confidence to a next level. Also, it was fun to watch seniors perform for us. We loved their lively performances and wonderful gestures expressed towards us.”
Roshma,
another fresher avers, “Thinking about the outfits for the fresher’s party was the most challenging task and each one of us, especially girls, wanted to look best on this special day, but all this was so much fun. Overall, it was quite and entertaining party, where we made several friends and memories to cherish for lifetime.”
