Cabinet sub-committee to examine SEP report
Bengaluru: The govt Saturday constituted a cabinet sub-committee to examine the final report submitted by the State Education Policy (SEP) Commission and recommend the course of action on its findings.
Home minister G Parameshwara will head the six-member panel. The other members are law and parliamentary affairs minister HK Patil, social welfare minister HC Mahadevappa, revenue minister Krishna Byre Gowda, medical education and skill development minister Dr Sharan Prakash R Patil, and higher education minister MC Sudhakar.
The sub-committee has been tasked with scrutinising the recommendations of the SEP Commission and submitting its report to the govt for consideration.
According to an official memorandum issued by the cabinet secretariat, the decision was taken based on the cabinet meeting held on May 7.
The higher education department will provide the panel with all necessary secretarial and administrative support in accordance with the Karnataka Government (Transaction of Business) Rules- 1977.
