Maalaka Raddy, Qamarul Islam, Basavaraj Patil Humnabad, KPCC President B. Janardhana Poojary, Hyderabad-Karnataka Development Board Chairman Boseraju and AICC secretary Mirza Irshad Baig, told the crowd: “This by-election is not a referendum. But it will send clear signal to the Centre. I have been called the No. 1 CM by various circles, but the mandate of the Humnabad voters will be my genuine certificate.’’
Introducing Congress candidate Rajashekar Patil to the audience,Krishna said: “We have been promoting young candidates in our party. The regime of old people like us is over. The people of Narasimharaja voted for 30-year-old Tanveer Sait. hope the Humnabad people will vote for our other 30-year-old candidate, Rajashekar Patil.’’
Krishna will address more meetings in Humnabad on Wednesday.
