BANGALORE: The state government has decided to provide a site and a house under the Ashraya scheme for Narayana B. Bachanna from Shimoga, who spent 21 years in Pakistan prison, urban development minister D.K.Shivakumar informed the Legislative Council on Thursday.
He told Umashri (Cong) that the home department would also consult the external affairs ministry to provide more relief for Narayana.
"On our part, we will rehabilitate him and examine what job we can provide for him. Narayana himself has not sought any help from the government so far," Shivakumar stated.
