Seminar on IPR on March 26

<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">MANGALORE: The Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara (SDM) College of Business Management here will be organising a National Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights in key areas at the college on Friday.<br /><br /><br />The seminar, sponsored by Ministry of Human Resource Development, will be attended by many experts of national and international repute.They will present their papers on diverse issues connected to intellectual property rights ranging from patenting farm products to process patent.<br /><br /><br />Two day seminar will be inaugurated by Dr N S Shetty, Senior Consultant, Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO). R D Kini, president, Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) will preside over the function. <br /><br /><br />In the valedictory session to be held on the next day, Prof Gurudath of Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Mysore will address the gathering. D Surendra Kumar, MD, Kuduma Fasteners, Bangalore, will preside.<br /><br /><br />More than 100 delegates from all over the country are expected to participate in the seminar. The organisors of the seminar Dr Devaraj, chairman and Aruna P kamath, secretary, said the seminar offers a forum for interaction among management experts, academicians, law practitioners and industrialists examining the feasibility of extending intellectual property rights to diversified activities.<br /><br /><br />They stated that all new creations of human brain known as intellectual property requires to be protected to generate further creative work useful to the society.
