BANGALORE: Three teenaged students from different schools in Sunkadakatte and Kottige Palya in Western Bangalore were caught stealing gold jewellery and other valuables from wedding halls in the city by posing as relatives of either the bride or bridegroom.

according to the police, the teenagers used to befriend relatives of the bride and bridegroom in the wedding halls, on chord road and yeshwanthapur. they then diverted their attention and stole gold jewellery from them. on thursday, they stole valuables from one vijaylaxmi at the h.v.r.kalyana mantapa. she lodged a complaint with the police. acting on her complaint, kamakshi palya police led by inspector k.sheshadri nabbed the three young offenders and recovered gold jewellery stolen by them.
