BANGALORE: Hold your breath before you enter these stalls. A golf kit worth Rs 5 lakh; vintage jewellery of Rs 85 lakh; a Rolls Royce of Rs 5 crore and a multi-crore penthouse. All that you need to live like a king.
Thanks to growing income of Bangaloreans, the IT capital of the country is turning into its luxury capital as well. In a clear sign of this, global players in luxury goods are meeting under one roof to exhibit their products.
CEO Lifestyle, an exhibition featuring creme de la creme products, will be organized in Bangalore from April 30. “For luxury items, Delhi is the best market. After that it is Bangalore and Mumbai,” said Shanell B, store head for Bang and Olufsen. “Bangaloreans are cosmopolitan, techsavvy and know what they want to buy, specially electronic items. We are looking forward to the exhibition,” she added.
The exhibition targets people who have a disposable monthly income of over Rs 1.5 lakh. “After Mumbai, most head offices of companies are based in Bangalore. The number of such people in the city will be around 10,000, and 20% of them will be our potential customers,” said Jayanth Jesudasan, event strategist for CEO Lifestyle.
The exhibition will feature products ranging from caps to yachts to helicopters. Rolls Royce, Bayliner, Bang and Olufsen, Judith Leiber, Lavazza and Fornasetti are some of the companies that will make their presence felt. The cheapest item at the exhibition will be a cap worth Rs 650. GRT, the jewellery group, will exhibit limited edition of vintage jewellery starting from Rs 85 lakh. Top-range Rolls Royce cars will range from Rs 2.5 crore to Rs 5 crore. BMW will introduce its second-best car and Bayliner will exhibit yachts and speed boats ranging from Rs 15 lakh to 10 crore. Golf kits worth Rs 5 lakh will be another attraction.
The exhibition will be held at KTPO Trade Centre; entry is for invitees only. “We have the database from institutions like Golf Club, real-estate agencies and car dealers. We will send them personal invites,” Jayanth said.
