3 killed, 5 hurt in bus, container collision in Damoh

BHOPAL: Three persons were killed, and five others sustained severe injuries when a passenger bus collided head on with a container truck in Damoh district on Tuesday morning.
The incident took place on Sagar-Jabalpur state highway near Jhalon village at around 6.45 am.
The deceased have been identified as bus driver Narayan Singh, cleaner Pratap and a female passenger Geeta Chouksey, resident of Jabalpur district.
Tendukheda police station in-charge, BL Chowdhary said, "The bus was going to Jabalpur from Indore and the container was going towards Sagar when both the vehicles collided head on near Jhalon village at around 6.45 am. The collision was so fierce that the front portion of the bus was severely damaged, its driver and a female passenger died on the spot while the cleaner died during treatment at the hospital."
"Apart from the deceased, five others have sustained severe injuries including the driver of the container truck.", he said. tnn
