NARMADAPURAM: Five people died and seven others were injured after an SUV from a marriage party crashed into a tractor-trolley in Madhya Pradesh’s Narmadapuram district in the early hours of Monday, police said, according to PTI.
The incident took place around 1.30am near Anchalkheda on the Tawa river bridge as the group was returning from Mana village in Budhni tehsil of Sehore district, an official said.
The Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) rammed a tractor-trolley loaded with soybeans head-on, killing five persons on the spot and leaving seven others injured, Makhan Nagar police station in-charge Anup Kumar Uikey told PTI.
The deceased were identified as Sahil Yadav (19), Hari Singh Yadav (57), Vineet Yadav (22), Shubham Morappa (18) and Santosh Prajapati, he said.
Those injured have been admitted to a hospital in Makhan Nagar, the official added.
