Programmes for skill development of tribal youth in Madhya Pradesh

Tribal Welfare Department is imparting skill development training to 25 thousand tribal youths in 89 tribal-dominant development blocks in 20 tribal-dominant districts in the state.

BHOPAL: Tribal Welfare Department is imparting skill development training to 25 thousand tribal youths in 89 tribal-dominant development blocks in 20 tribal-dominant districts in the state.
The training is being imparted in 67 trades. Tribal Welfare MinisterKunwar Vijay Shah has directed departmental officers for constant monitoring of this ambitious scheme of the State Government.

A provision of Rs 47 crore has been made in this year's budget for training programme.
The training agencies selected under the scheme will have to provide jobs to minimum 75% youth trained by them. The training is being imparted mainly for computer operator, home appliances, hospitality, nursing, mobile repairing, BPO, security guard, domestic appliances repairs, engineering, motor driving etc.
The 20 tribal-dominant districts where training is being imparted include Betul, Chhindwara, Dhar, Seoni, Shahdol, Khargone, Sidhi, Mandla, Hoshangabad, Anuppur, Barwani, Jhabua, Balaghat, Ratlam, Shahdol, Sheopur, Khandwa, Alirajpur, Umaria and Dindori.
