Victims battle for life at hospitals in Indore, Dewas
Tonk Kalan: Hospitals across Indore and Dewas remained on high alert as critically injured workers from the Tonk Kalan factory blast were shifted for specialised treatment.ADG Rakesh Gupta said five critically injured victims were admitted to Amaltas Hospital in Dewas, three at MY Hospital in Indore, and others to Choithram Hospital. Eleven workers with minor injuries were treated at Dewas district hospital.MY Hospital superintendent Dr Ashok Yadav said the three victims suffered 80-90% burns and were extremely critical in the burn unit. Choithram Hospital deputy director Dr Anil Lakhwani said four patients with 10-25% burns were admitted in stable condition.Anxious relatives waited outside wards tracing missing labourers. Dewas district hospital converted a geriatric ward section into temporary treatment area with 11 beds, coolers, water and food packets for patients.
