Chandigarh: Led by Punjab minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, AAP leaders held a protest with a brass band outside the assembly before the start of the budget session against leader of opposition Partap Singh Bajwa for his alleged objectionable remarks.
Demanding an apology from Bajwa, the minister said he was proud to be the son of a band master, and Bajwa's remarks mocked those earning an honest livelihood. The AAP leaders carried placards against the Congress leader. Bajwa said, "Jehra pehle band vajaanda reha, ehda band asin vajavange (He used to play in a band before; we will take him to task)." He, however, clarified that he did not say anything about the minister's caste.
