Dalai Lama undergoes successful knee replacement surgery

Shimla: Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama underwent a successful left knee replacement surgery at a private hospital in New Delhi on Monday and is recovering well, according to a statement issued by his personal physicians.The statement read that the 90-year-old Nobel laureate returned to his hospital room in stable condition after the procedure and remains in good spirits.
